South Florida Motorcyclist Injured in Hit and Run

By: Lisa Vari, the Biker Chick Lawyer

Early on Wednesday morning a South Florida motorcyclist was injured in a hit and run collision. The incident occurred on Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines just after 6 o'clock in the morning.

The motorcyclist sustained some injuries as a result of the accident and needed to be hospitalized. Reports, however, indicate that the injuries are not life threatening.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Pines Boulevard. Police reports indicate that the driver of a white Mercedes Benz struck the motorcyclist and then fled the scene. Police were able to track down her car which she had driven to the Heron Ponds apartment complex.

Currently it is not entirely clear what caused the accident, but the driver of the car will likely face some charges even if she was not at fault for the accident due to the fact that she fled the scene.
