By: Lisa Vari, the Biker Chick Lawyer

At around 8:45 a.m. this morning, Friday January 30, 2015, a Florida Highway Patrol Motorcycle Trooper was injured in a collision on the northbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike.

The incident, which occurred at Southwest 120th Street in Miami-Dade County, was between the Florida Highway Patrol Motorcycle Trooper and another vehicle. Police respond to the accident within minutes, but reports have not revealed the cause of the collision.

Upon arriving at the scene it was determined that the Trooper suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. As a result of his injuries he was air-lifted to Kendall Regional Medical Center. The driver of the car was not injured and did remain at the scene of the accident.

Our thoughts are with the Trooper and his family. We wish him a speedy recover and want to thank him for his service and dedication to our community.
