If you have to explain, they won't understand!
Bikers have a saying, "If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand." You may have seen the expression on a T-shirt worn by a rider, or for that matter passenger, as the bike rolls past you on the highway. You may even own a T-shirt or patch with that logo on it. Not everyone understands the freedom and joy that bikers feel when we are on our two-wheeled machines. Most people will never understand the camaraderie that we, as bikers, feel towards our fellow bikers. That camaraderie is apparent to each other anytime we gather - whether it be two bikes tearing up the back roads on a sunny weekend afternoon, two hundred bikes gathering for wings and beer on a Wednesday at a local bike night event or two hundred thousand plus bikes rolling into Sturgis or Daytona Beach for bike week. If you or I have to explain to a person who doesn't ride, they won't understand. They don't understand, but we do!
That saying also holds true in the legal world. If you have to explain it to your attorney, that attorney just won't understand. Things are different when you reach out to me for help with your legal problem. I do understand; I'm a biker just like you.
Going through a divorce in Pennsylvania or Florida and worried that your ex will get your bike? Been there, done that, got the patch, "How do you spell relief? D-I-V-O-R-C-E." Thank God for prenups and the damn good lawyer who drafted it (ME!).
Other parent keeping you away from your kids in Florida or Pennsylvania child custody or threatening to take you to the cleaners with child support in Allegheny County or Miami-Dade County? My law firm has represented over 1,600 Florida and Pennsylvania family law clients.
Hurt on your bike and worried about how you'll pay your bills? My family went through that over thirty years ago when my brother, "Lini", had to have his leg amputated from his crash, was out of work for over two years and had to fight insurance companies and the government for Social Security Disability payments.
Did I mention that after the operation, he was supposed to be in traction and not a cast? Do they really understand the months in the hospital, years of medical treatment and a lifetime of pain and problems? Probably not. I understand the legal as well as the emotional issues involved with a Pennsylvania medical malpractice or Florida personal injury case following a motorcycle accident.
Yeah, I've attended the same heart-wrenching funerals with "Free Bird" playing as the casket was closed and lowered into the ground. I helped with the funeral arrangements, the wake and the PA estate and probate issue.
I know friends who lost their bike to bankruptcy in Pennsylvania and the repo man in Florida. I can imagine that it really stinks when you hear the tow truck lifting up your ride from the driveway in the middle of the night.
Accused of a crime in Pennsylvania or Florida, stopped for a traffic ticket in Pittsburgh or Miami, got charged with a DUI in Florida or Pennsylvania or threatened with a domestic violence action in PA or FL? Don't risk jail time or the loss of your driver's license with a rookie lawyer who doesn't know their way around the criminal courts. I used to work with the Administrative Judge of Allegheny County Criminal Court.

I've been a lawyer for over 20 years and have "been there, done that." With my law firm, you'll never ride alone in the legal system.
